Role of Governing Body
The role of the governors is to work with the headteacher, staff, education and church authorities to secure the best possible education for all the children in the school. Governors' responsibilities include curriculum, discipline, staffing, charging policies and community links as well as arranging external repairs and decorations to the building. The governors carry out an annual survey of parents. They are available to meet with parents at sharing assemblies, or by arrangement through the school office, when parents can put queries, comments or concerns to them. Governors visit school regularly to review the implementation of school improvement plans, to join in school community activities and to hear the views of the children.
