The school welcomes communication with parents and endeavours to keep you informed of anything which directly concerns your child, the school or in fact, any matter that might interest you.

The regular newsletters from the Headteacher are a useful method of communicating with parents.

There are various ways of liaising with your child’s teacher and the school:

Home-School Link Book

Our daily partnership is vital and this works through the use of the (red) Home-School Link Book. In this book, which goes back and forth from home to school and back again every day, you will find reading records, spelling records, praise and celebration of their attitude and their work, as well as reviews of the week and school events. As they start school, this is led by the parents and the teacher, but as they mature throughout the school, pupils do take a firm responsibility for ensuring this is kept up-to-date.

Parents’ Evenings

Parents’ evenings are held each term. They are an opportunity for you to discuss your child’s progress on a one-to-one basis with their class teacher. A list of available appointment times is put up outside the school office.

Appointments

If you have any concerns that you would like to discuss with your child’s teacher or require further information on your child’s progress or curriculum, appointments can be made through the school office for a mutually convenient time. Open Afternoons The children are immensely proud of their work and school environment and enjoy these opportunities to show them off at the open afternoons held each term.

Headteacher

Appointments can be made to see the Headteacher at any time through the school office. If you have a query, concern or suggestion regarding the school, please don’t hesitate to contact the Headteacher, teacher, Governor or the PTA.

Parents’ and Governors’ Forum

Parents’ and Governors’ Forum is held where different aspects of school life are openly discussed for mutual benefit. Views gathered from these sessions are used to inform the School Development Plan.
