Oak

Welcome to Oak Class YR/1

Oak Class is all about having fun while learning lots of new things! We have Activity Time which is time for us to choose our own learning -  maybe creating a village outside and riding the bikes or reading in the book corner. Our learning is a mixture of working with an adult (we are lucky to have 3 adults working in our class - Miss Baker, Mrs Matharu and Mrs Baker) and child-initiated learning. We enjoy learning both inside and outside the classroom and certainly don't mind getting a bit messy!!

The Year 1 children are very excited to meet their new friends when the Year R's start in Oak Class and will be teaching them all the rules and showing them all the fun things we have to play and learn with. We work hard on being independent and have our 'MIni-Me's' to help us with resilience and self-challenge in our learning.
