Introduction
The purpose of this Handbook is to provide a single source of Governor and Governing Body information for all St Mary’s Governors and our Clerk.
Please suggest amendments and additions to ensure it continues to be a useful reference tool.
Governor Role at St Mary’s Bentworth
The Governing Body’s aim is that St Mary’s Bentworth
will be recognised as an environment which provides each child with an outstanding foundation for achieving his or her unique potential
To fulfil the statutory duties of a Governing Body.
To work collaboratively with staff, parents, children, local and wider community and partnership schools and other bodies to ensure the best possible outcome for each child involved directly or indirectly with St Mary’s Bentworth.
