St Mary's Bentworth

Church of England Primary School

Love, Respect, Belong

Science

At St Mary’s Bentworth Primary School we believe that a high-quality Science education provides the foundations for understanding the world. We believe all pupils should be taught essential aspects of the knowledge, processes and uses of science. Through building up a body of key knowledge and concepts, pupils should be encouraged to develop a sense of excitement and curiosity about natural phenomena. We ensure the children develop the key skills of‘Working Scientifically’ to enable them to ask and answer questions, explain what is happening and form conclusions that apply their scientific knowledge. Below are some photos of our Science learning over the last year.
